Other forms: exclamation points
If you're feeling excited or adamant about what you're writing, the punctuation you should use is an exclamation point!
If you're a particularly enthusiastic person, you might find yourself using exclamation points after nearly every line of a letter, email, or text message. And in a work of fiction, when characters express vehemence, excitement, or other strong feelings, their dialogue will be punctuated with exclamation points: "I told you, I've never seen that ferret before in my life!" These marks are also good for interjections like "Ouch!" or "Egads!"
